Getting to the GLF – ideas?

Ive been browsing the Galle Lit Festival website and it seems like this time’s festival is going to be so great. I am dying to go but have no friends who are interested in this kind of thing and so am seriously comtemplating going on my own…Just wondering if anyone out there has ideas on where to stay and how to make the best of the festival on a budget?

well to stay, you can try Happy Banana, though they may jack up the prices cos of the festival. There’s another couple of joints in Matara that may be cheaper, one called Beach Inn. You can call Indika at 0776199413, though ask for a room upstairs facing the beach. Bus ride to Galle is fairly quick and cheap. Hope that helps!

Come with us! Apart from the fest, we’ll also go surfing!

You can stay at Black Beauty in Unawatuna, cheap and decent.

    Call Britta on 0776-582-909

Whacko – you are riding down from Colombo? Thats quite a ride to do in one day.

Also you are lucky. This time the festival has more free events than before and quite good ones too.

Check the website as the Fringe Festival link as well (fringe events are not listed in the main programme)

Its not as well advertised as last time. I had no idea that it was on. But ill be coming on the 30th to Unawatuna for Proper Education.
